FISURIN

How to use FISURIN

Applied correctly, every day, for the full course. These are the instructions our patients receive in consultation.

Application, step by step

  1. Have a bowel movement and take a sitz bath or shower with warm water for 10 minutes.
  2. Dry by patting with a soft towel; do not rub.
  3. Wash your hands. Put a pea-sized amount of FISURIN on a fingertip (a glove or cot if you prefer) or on a cotton swab.
  4. Apply around the anal opening and about 1 cm inside the canal, where the fissure is. Gentle pressure; no need to go deep.
  5. Repeat 3 times a day the first 2 weeks, then 2 to 3 times a day until week 6 to 8.
  6. Wash your hands. Keep the jar closed at room temperature, away from heat.

What to combine it with

  • Psyllium or another soluble fiber, twice a day, with 2 liters of water.
  • Sitz baths after each bowel movement.
  • A stool softener if stools are still hard after 3 days of fiber.
  • A footstool to raise the knees on the toilet.

Common mistakes

  • Stopping at week 2 because the pain is gone: the fissure is not closed yet.
  • Applying only once a day.
  • Using it together with a steroid hemorrhoid cream.
  • Not fixing constipation: the cream cannot win against a hard stool every morning.

Frequently asked questions

What if I miss an application?

Apply the next one as scheduled; do not double. Consistency over weeks matters more than one missed dose.
